It equips participants with the knowledge and tools to identify, assess, and mitigate critical risks, while developing the capacity to effectively manage emergencies and crises. Participants will learn strategies for developing, implementing, and evaluating emergency response plans to mitigate risks and ensure organizational resilience during crises.
Objective
At the end of this training course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of HSE management systems and their application in oil and gas operations.
- Define key HSE and risk management terminologies, roles, and responsibilities.
- Apply industry-recognized hazard identification and risk assessment techniques, including Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
- Develop and implement effective emergency response and crisis management plans.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies during emergency situations.
- Establish and evaluate Business Continuity Plans (BCP) in line with organizational risk strategies.
- Identify the structure, roles, and operational procedures of Emergency Response Teams (ERT).
- Participate in and assess integrated emergency drills and simulations.

Methodology
The training course will be highly participatory and the course leader will present, guide and facilitate learning, using a range of methods including formal presentation, discussions, sector-specific case studies and exercises.
